OUR STORY

Perdue Acoustics is a manufacturing company that manufactures, sells, and installs cutting edge acoustic panels, battles, diffusers and other products for sound abatement and control of echo and reverberation in facilities all over the country, located in Amarillo, Texas.

Our products are sold and installed in schools, gymnasiums, band facilities, offices, churches, auditoriums, conference rooms…all over the country. When Perdue Acoustics was incorporated as Perdue Recording Studio in 1978. By the late 80’s we realized we were uniquely able to solve problems in the area of acoustics and sound control. This is when we primarily phased out of the recording business and began prescribing, creating, selling, and installing our sound abatement products for pastors, coaches, CEO’s, teachers, performers, speakers, doctors…you name it! We’re happy to help manage and control sound echo and reverberation for individuals and companies everywhere.

We create wall and ceiling panels for any house of worship, matching and enhancing beautiful color schemes. Our products are suitable for educational environments. For instance, we will treat classrooms, lecture halls, cafeteria, gymnasiums, band halls, and even areas requiring water-resistant products, such as swimming arenas. Conference rooms and lecture halls can be treated with imagination and skill while improving vital acoustic control for important speaking events. Special venues (such as home theaters, office areas, auditoriums, and any type of commercial building) have the option of sound control with specialty fabrics or fully customized printed panels.

An acoustic treatment by Perdue Acoustics will be the highest rated in the industry in these five vital areas: absorption, durability, aesthetics, fire protection, and value. Their patented rockwool core products have been placed across the country, for professionals such as architects and sound designers and in businesses and institutions, including such facilities as NASA, Chase, FedEx, branches of the CIA and FBI, Universal Studios, General Motors, and many of the largest churches and universities in the nation, for over 30 years!

With a team led by owner/designer/patent holder Jay Perdue, each panel is custom-made to fit its client’s specifications, using the best materials to last for years to come, and installed with precision and unmatched results. Even today, Jay Perdue, holder of more working patents in the field of architectural acoustics than anyone on record, continues his research and development, specializing in sound abatement and eliminating echo and uncontrolled noise while seeing patent after patent awarded for his innovative and ground-breaking products!

“During our summer band camp we had band directors from all over the region in every direction for 500 miles. Everyone raved of the sound of the new hall. No one could believe how perfectly they can have whatever they wanted. In rehearsal AND in performance!”

Donald Lefevre

“I intentionally set in what I knew was the worse seat in the house and it is now an amazingly perfect place to sit. As I move around and try different seats there is no longer a bad seat in the house anywhere.”
