Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which product is a better value?
The best way to compare one product to another is by comparing the NRC values vs. how much they cost. If you have a product, A, that is $3.00/sf (square foot) with an NRC of .70 and product. B, that is $5.00/sf with an NRC of 1.40, then it would take twice as much of the product, A, to equal what you are getting from product, B. Thus with product, A, cost would be $6.00/sf to get 1.40 NRC and with product, B, cost would be $5.00 to get an NRC of 1.40.

The installation process will begin approximately 2 weeks from the time that the panels were scheduled to be completed.
How late in the evenings will your crew work?
Our crew will work a total of 12 hours a day.
Do I need low frequency absorption if I want low end in my room?
If you are creating low frequency energy in a room then in most cases you will need low frequency absorption as well. Some people are afraid that if they add low frequency absorption that it will suck the lows out of the room leaving their room with a low end vacuum. This is not the case; any absorber is going to stop the energy that intersects with the units. Just in the cases as you need absorption to help stop reverb and echoes in middle to high frequency you need it in the low frequency as well. Like wise, with room modes and phase cancellations. Without treating for low energy your bass response will be muddy and can be cancelled out in some areas of the room and doubled in others, making the sound of the room out of balance. So, as you can see, low frequency can be a big issue for anyone that generates this type of energy in their room. Perdue Acoustics has full lines of product just to help with low frequency needs.
Can these panels stand up to being hit by basketballs in Multi use facilities?
Absolutely! Perdue Acoustics products are some of the toughest in the business. Our panels are produced with durability in mind. With our patented Rockwool inner core which is then reinforced with a fiberglass matting, these panels can take some abuse as has been proven for years in gymnasiums all across the country.
How difficult is it to install the panels and could I do it by myself?
The easiest way to install our panels is to use our installation crew. However, Perdue Acoustics products are fairly easy to install by anyone with basic handyman construction skills. It is as easy as measuring your wall to determine the layout and spacing of your panels, attaching the provided E-Z Clips to the wall, applying a little construction adhesive, and pressing the panels on to the clips. Professional installation is always recommended, but our knowledgeable installation division is also available to walk you through any problems you may encounter in self installation.
Is there any guarantee or warrantee on the products?
Perdue Acoustics products are guaranteed for two years from the date of delivery against any defects in workmanship or breakdown of the core material.
